Clearswift and GeoLang Announce Technology Partnership

Posted on November 4, 2016

Theale (UK), 4th November, 2016. UK companies Clearswift Ltd and GeoLang Ltd today announced their technology partnership that will enable a new solution through the integration of Clearswift’s Adaptive Data Loss Prevention products with GeoLang’s information access security broker (IASB) platform “Ascema”.

The integrated solution will enable customers to benefit from the ability to extend the robust security features that the Clearswift platform already delivers, to beyond the traditional IT infrastructure perimeter boundaries, to ensure their most valuable information is protected in the cloud within hosted email providers and within cloud collaboration and storage services.

With the ever growing need to openly communicate, collaborate and share high value information and intellectual property across the extended enterprise, supply chains and global value chains, organisations need to enable the seamless adoption of cloud-based services to ensure their employees can work effectively in leveraging this essential expertise and knowledge. The challenge being how can they ensure their information is as secure when outside the controls of the enterprise protected infrastructure as when it is inside.

GeoLang’s award-winning Ascema platform, delivers a unique patented capability to protect information at the TrueContent level - detecting inappropriate use of content by monitoring targeted data streams in cloud-based services and beyond. Integrated with Clearswift’s platform, the joint solution ensures that security policies applied to enterprise content may be set, recognized and remediated against across the extended enterprise, ensuring intervention levels are appropriately matched to the sensitivity of the content, the user and the use case context.

“We are extremely pleased to be working with Clearswift to enable an improved information access security platform that better enables organizations to safely collaborate across their global value chains whilst protecting enterprise ‘crown jewels’,” said Debbie Garside, CEO of GeoLang. “Being able to partner with a leading British company and global leader within this marketplace allows us to really demonstrate the innovation and leadership UK companies are bringing to current and global information access security problems”.

Dr. Guy Bunker, SVP Products at Clearswift said “We look for innovative companies to work with in order to create innovative solutions which solve real business problems. The integration between our Adaptive Data Loss Prevention products and GeoLang’s Ascema platform to create a new solution addressing the need to protect information, at the content level rather than just files, is exciting. It extends the Clearswift on-premise approach into the cloud, protecting critical information no matter where it is held.”
